School Counselor Symposia

The PA Department of Education has scheduled five School Counselor Symposia for the fall of 2019 that focus on Pathways of Student Success — Supporting Postsecondary Pathways, A common content thread will be presented at each of the five. 

The first of the five was offered at Allegheny Intermediate Unit on Monday, Oct. 7. 
Presentations by the PA Career Ready State Training Team included Counselor Training Updates, Career Ready PA, Career Readiness Needs Assessment, Future Ready PA Overview, Stakeholder and Workforce Relationships, Classroom and Workforce Alignment, Resources and Updates, PA Career Ready Skills Tool kit and implementation guide supports and Counselor for Computing. 

Future School Counselor Symposia which meet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. are scheduled for: 
Millersville University, Wednesday, Oct. 30
Temple University, Thursday, Oct. 31
Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit, Monday, Nov. 4
Clarion University, Tuesday, Nov. 12
