PSCA Statement on State of Minnesota vs. Derek Michael Chauvin

PSCA recognizes the continued hurt, pain and trauma that the community of Minneapolis has experienced, reflecting the pain seen in communities across the country, including Pennsylvania. While the guilty verdicts are a step towards justice, we continue to recognize the long journey our country needs to go to heal, and reach, the ideals it was founded upon.

PSCA continues to offer sympathies to George Floyd’s family, and offer our solidarity for the communities, schools and students impacted by racial trauma. Since George Floyd’s death, PSCA has built programs, resources and tools to further our commitment to justice, equity and combating oppression.  Most importantly we’ll continue to work to build better futures for our students by creating systems that show #blacklivesmatter.
